“Are those my muscles?”

“Did you photoshop them?” – this was the first thing she asked when she saw her photos?

No, I didn’t, those were her muscles, her body, her strength and dedication. She had built all of it herself, my job was simple to photograph what was already there.

There is something strange about the way we see our own bodies: we look at them every day, usually in the same mirrors, under the same unflattering bathroom lights, from a glimpse in the mirror in the gym, from the same familiar angles. After a while, we stop really seeing them. Photoshoot can change this.

If you train, your body tells the story of hundreds of small decisions: getting up, showing up, lifting a little heavier, running a little further, doing it again and again.

You don’t to reach a “perfect” body: your body now is the body worth remembering. Maybe this is the strongest you’ve ever been.

Come and see yourself. Come and celebrate how far you’ve come.
